Plateau Set To Hold Local Govt. Elections On Wednesday
Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Niger, Kano, and Nasarawa States besieged the National Headquarters of the party on Monday to protest the emergence of some senators from their states.
The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC, in its readiness has commenced the distribution of non -sensitive materials.
People at the grassroots in Plateau State are in high spirit to make their vote count on October 10, 2018, especially with the distribution of non-sensitive materials by the PLASIEC.

It is no longer news that the State Government in the past, made several attempts to conduct local government election without any success ,citing security challenges, a situation that raised reactions amongst the people.
Representatives of some political parties at the PLASIEC office were optimistic of a free, fair and credible election.

The local government election is scheduled to hold on October 10, 2018, in 13 out of 17 local government areas of the state.
The government has also declared Wednesday a public holiday to enable the electorate participate in the exercise.
