Nigerian Army Recovers Arms In Bayelsa State, Arrests Suspect
The Nigerian Army says its men have recovered a large cache of arms in Bayelsa State and arrested one suspect following a tip off. 
The troops recovered the weapons during a raid operation in the early hours of Sunday along Agbura-Otuoke road in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. Another set of weapons were recovered while conducting a search in the house of a suspected militant leader, Emmanuel Lawson alias “General” who is now at large. His accomplice, Ebikaboere Emmanuel was however arrested.
Army Spokesman, Bigadier General Texas Chukwu said in a statement that efforts are on to track the suspect with all his other accomplices. The items recovered include: Two G3 rifles. Two AK47 rifles. Two Baretta pistol. Four AK47 magazine. Two G3 rifle magazine 11 Cartridges. 325 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition. One military Police General Duty Belt and anklet. The spokesman reminded members of the public to always report any suspicious activities to the law enforcement agents for prompt action to avert violence and loss of lives and property.
