Air Force Provides Medical Service To Katsina Flood Victims

The medical intervention programme, an initiative of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, held at Jibia Central Primary School in Jibia Local Government Area of the State, as part of efforts of the service aimed at mitigating the plights of the flood victims.
Some of the beneficiaries thanked the Nigerian air force for the gesture while expressing satisfaction with the medical services received from the NAF Medical team.      
A statement by the director of public relations and information of the service, Air Vice Marshall Olatokunb Adesanya, said the medical services provided during the outreach included mass de-worming of children, medical checkups, distribution of treated mosquito nets, eye glasses and drugs while patients with surgical cases were also operated upon.
The Director of Public Health and Humanitarian Services, Headquarters of the service, Group Captain Azubuike Chukwuka, said the team followed the directives of the Chief of the air staff to extend humanitarian services to the persons affected by the recent flood by providing medical services.
The Head of Local Government Administration in the State, Almustapha Dan-Musa, appreciated the NAF for the kind gesture and the provision of free healthcare for the people of Jibia.
Dan-Musa said the medical outreach was a great relief to the people who had lost lives and properties to the flood.
