Ndidi Madu Announces Retirement

Afrobasket winning D’tigress forward, Ndidi Madu has retired from professional basketball.

She announced her retirement this Monday via the social media.

The 2017 Afrobasket women winner with D’tigress of Nigeria wrote on her Instagram handle that her decision to hang her shoes after six illustrious years of professional basketball was informed by the desire to help youths particularly in Africa reach their academic and athletics goal through coaching and mentoring.

The American born Nigerian basketball player before her retirement played as a forward for Broni in the seria A, she had spells with first bank of Nigeria basketball and other African teams.

She was part of the Ditgress roster to the 2016 Fiba women Olympic qualifying tournament
