Printing Workers Want Herdsmen Disarmed

The National Union of Printing, Publishing and  Paper Product Workers NUPPPROW has called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency disarm all herdsmen across the country to guarantee peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.


According to the Labour Leaders this will reassure the people of Nigeria of a peaceful General Elections in 2019 and enable all eligible voters to freely exercise their franchise.
National President of NUPPPROW,Comrade Ayokunle Olaoye spoke onbehalf  of labour leaders during the fifth National Quadrennial Delegates Conference in Calabar.
The union decried the level of killing  by suspected Herdsmen in the Country, wondering where the responsibility of Governmnent to protect lives and property of the citizens lies irrespective of where they choose to live in the country.
While assuring Nigerian Workers of aduqauete support at all times, Minister of Labour and Productivity,Chris Ngige represented by Head of Productivity Centre in Cross River State,Godwin Williams said peaceful coexistence in Nigeria is the business of all.
AIT's Rasheed Olanrewaju reports that the Theme of the delegates conference was “Nation's Insecurity,Bane of Social Economic Growth” Participants from all the States of the Federation and Abuja attended the conference.
